Turn on intelligent lights with motion sensors

Add a Philips Hue motion sensor to your smart lighting system to automatically turn on the lights when motion is detected, so you can get around the home safely.

The daylight sensor detects light

The Hue Motion sensor's built-in daylight sensor detects when there is still sufficient daylight, so that the light is only switched on when necessary. If it's still too dark, you can choose when the motion sensor should be activated by adjusting its light sensitivity in the Philips Hue app.

Mount the motion sensor anywhere

The intelligent Philips Hue motion sensor is battery powered and completely wireless, so you can install it anywhere in the home. Place it on a bookshelf, mount it to the wall or ceiling with a single screw, or place it on a magnetic surface with the included magnet.

Adjust the light with the motion sensor

With the intelligent Hue motion sensor, you can adjust the light sources that turn on and their intensity based on the time of day. In the evening, you can set the motion sensor to turn on a pleasant night light so you can find your way around in the dark. During the day, you can choose to let the home be illuminated by bright white light.
